HouseMaster
HouseMaster was the first company to franchise in the home inspection industry. Since our inception in 1979, HouseMaster has performed over two million home inspections and has grown to almost 400 franchises. Our company culture focuses on franchise relationships, support, technical proficiency, proven marketing methods, aggressive risk management tools and cutting edge technology. HouseMaster’s high level of success has earned us the #1 home inspection franchise ranking in Entrepreneur Magazine for 2009 and 2010. This year, HM was also named the number one home inspection franchise in Franchise Business Reviews Annual Franchise Satisfaction Survey.
Unlike other home inspection franchise companies, all of our franchisees are certified by our National Institute of Building Inspectors (NIBI). Our franchisees are committed to continued education and annual recertification. We have trained tens of thousands of agents over the years on everything from common conditions found on inspections, environmental concerns, risk management and pre-inspections. We’ve been a featured presenter at international real estate tradeshows and are a regular presenter at many local board meetings and new agent training programs.
Aggressive PR campaigns, and the success and reputation to back them up, have landed HouseMaster in the national spotlight. Interviewed by media giants such as the Associated Press, Fox Business, The Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN, HGTV, USA Today and the NY Times, HouseMaster is the recognized authority on everything home inspection.
Services
Pre-Inspections
This type of inspection is performed for sellers to document house conditions so they can disclose conditions to potential buyers or correct defects to help speed up the sales process.
Pre-Closing Inspections
An inspection that helps buyers determine whether there have been any changes in house conditions since an original inspection.
New Construction Phase Inspections
These inspections are performed during different phases of construction while a home is being built - giving the HouseMaster inspector enhanced access to different structural and functional elements in the home.
Maintenance/Energy Inspections
Inspections don’t have to be linked to the sale/ purchase of a property - they can also help homeowners manage or prevent significant repair expenses, or reduce energy, as a result of a lack of maintenance or air leakage.
Foreclosure Inspections
Inspections are essential for foreclosed properties due to the prevalence of neglect, adverse conditions, and occasionally, vandalism. Although these are basically standard inspections, there are different service issues and nuances to handling.
Commercial Inspections
These inspections can be performed on buildings up to 100,000 square feet including small warehouses, strip malls or large homes that have been converted for commercial space. In addition to our commercial property inspection product, HouseMaster provides group professional liability insurance and commercial property inspection marketing collateral to help promote these often very profitable services.
Ancillary Services
Above and beyond core home inspections, HouseMaster offices offer a suite of related services for extra revenue, and as a matter of convenience for customers, either as an add-on or an a la carte offering. Some are directly related to home inspections (such as water/soil testing) while others are more consultative/advisory in nature.
Ideal Candidate
- Must embrace ethical business practices focused on quality and customer service.
